Another great win for league leaders Priory

in the Palmerston Cup

Meon Valley v Priory

Meon Valley met Priory in an entertaining series of games. Meon Valley’s Josh Berry started positively but couldn’t contain the consistent play of Priory’s Roly Bloy, who led 6–4 after six ends, extended that advantage to 18–9 by the twelfth, and went on to secure a 24–12 victory.

Priory Team: Tony Cook, Elaine Lister and Roly Bloy (skip)

The second game, between Andy King (Meon Valley) and Finn Patel (Priory), was a real thriller. King led 8–2 after six ends, but Patel’s rink fought back superbly to trail by just one at the twelfth. Meon Valley pushed ahead again to lead 17–14 going into the final end, only for Priory to produce a late twist, scoring three shots to snatch a 17–17 draw.

Priory Team: Sylvia Elliott, Phil Cantwell and Finn Patel (skip)
